In February, I had the pleasure of attending a Mikey's Fest in Greenville, SC. I say pleasure because I got more out of the experience than I could have ever given. Mikey's Fests are a coming together of carpet cleaning companies from all over the US. We came together for fellowship and to give back by cleaning a Ronald McDonald house. The amount of work that goes on in one day is mind blowing; as well, as inspiring. The families using these facilities are staying because they have a sick child in the hospital nearby. They stay in the facility rent free while their loved one gets the treatment they need. The families are responsible for maintaining the rooms while they are a guest. We just give the facility a cleaning from top to bottom including each of the bedrooms. These Ronald McDonald houses run on donations and volunteers.
