Top 7 Things to Look for When Hiring a Commercial Cleaner.

A clean work place isn’t just about keeping up your professional appearance. Research suggests that a dirty working environment can have long-term cognitive effects on employees which can reduce productivity and job satisfaction. That means it also can negatively impact your company’s bottom line. Protect your facility as well as your employees by having your carpets and hard floors cleaned on a maintenance schedule.
In addition to promoting your company’s professional environment, hiring the right commercial cleaner will strengthen the well-being, morale, and productivity of your employees. Are you considering hiring a commercial carpet cleaner to enhance your work environment? Here are the top seven things to look for when hiring a carpet cleaner in Rock Hill and surrounding areas.

1. Services
A facility’s cleaning needs can vary greatly depending on its environment. Some require basic dusting, vacuuming, and other cleaning, while others need major clean up on a regular basis. It’s best to meet with a consultant from the cleaning company to help determine your needs. Some of these may include:
  • Carpet and upholstery cleaning
  • Hard floor cleaning
  • Floor coatings
  • Special event cleaning
A reputable cleaning company will tour your facility to address its cleaning needs based on the foot traffic received on a daily basis. He or She will also be able to advise you of steps you can take in house to minimize the damage your flooring receives. This will save you time and money on restoration cleaning and or replacement. Cleaning on a schedule and prevention are key to the health and longevity or the flooring materials.

2. Reputation
Your reputation is important, and so is the reputation of the cleaning company you hire. Don’t hesitate to ask for references. Contact these references and ask how satisfied they are with the cleaning company, how quickly they respond to needs, how long they’ve been with them. Ask how consistent and reliable their customer service is, along with other questions that may be relevant to your situation. Experience is important, so consider the number of years a company has been in business as well. Google is good resource to check out reviews of past clients.

3. Scheduling
You may not want someone cleaning your floors/facility during business hours. The company you choose should be flexible with your hours of operation. Your contractor should be able to offer off hours and weekends to complete the services when it’s safe for your customers as well as your employees.

4. Professionalism
Do the company’s employees wear company uniforms or company apparel? Are they neat and egger to serve you? Do they take the time to inspect your carpets and address any questions or concerns you may have?

5. Equipment
One reason to hire a professional rock hill carpet cleaning service is to avoid investing in the types of cleaning equipment and products needed to do the job. Routine vacuuming will clean a commercial carpet’s surface. The regular deep cleaning that is recommended to remove damaging debris and underlying dirt requires expensive professional equipment. The same goes for other areas of your facility that may need cleaning such as VCT and tile and grout surfaces. Ask about the equipment they use and its condition. Professional equipment is a major investment for most companies so they will be glad to show off their investment.

6. Price
When you search for a rock hill carpet cleaning company look for a pricing proposal that isn’t one-size-fits-all. A thorough company will tour your facility to customize a proposal based on your needs. In fact, it’s a good idea to come up with a list of services you know you need to hire out and along with a wish list. When you receive your quote in writing you can customize your service plan based on your budget.

7. Insurance
Avoid the pitfalls of a fly-by-night cleaning service and insist on proof of insurance. A fully insured company takes measures to protect its clients from legal liability. While injury or damage is highly unlikely, it’s important to protect against them so you’re not left cleaning up more than just your floors.

I like how you said that the commercial cleaning service you hire should be flexible according to your business hours. They should accommodate for you and now the other way around. I think some business owners forget this and end up not hiring a cleaning service because the hours don't match up.

It's great that you talked about the importance of asking about a cleaning company's specialties. The other day, one of my uncles mentioned that his office is getting renovated. Now they'll have a carpet. My mother mentioned the importance of regularly maintaining a carpet, so now my uncle wants to get a cleaning service to do it. I think that this article will help him find the best company for his needs. Thanks for the tips about what to consider when selecting a cleaning service.

You made a lot of great points on how to choose the best commercial cleaning company. I really like how you said that it is smart to contact the references of potential cleaners to get a better idea of their satisfaction rate. I think it would also be smart to look into the experience a cleaner has with commercial spaces similar to yours.

Any Janitorial services company should at a minimum screen applicant for drug use and verify that they do not have a criminal history. But even better, the best Commercial office cleaning company will work hard to look for candidates that are a good fit.

Thanks for pointing out that a trusted cleaning company can address a facility's cleaning needs based on the foot traffic received on a daily basis. I would imagine that any building owner would want to maintain the cleanliness of their premises. I think they should look for janitorial services that can thoroughly clean and disinfect their building every month.

A cleaning approach used in hospital contexts to control and break the chain of infection is terminal cleaning. Your hospital should be a place of healing, not a breeding ground for infections acquired in the hospital (HAI). Every hospital evaluates its effectiveness and patient satisfaction on a regular basis. The head of hospital housekeeping, often known as environmental services, must maintain regular contact with the infection control officer of the hospital. Everyone will be on the same page as a result of this. Terminal cleaning needs great expertise and understanding and should be left to experts who understand the distinction between cleaning and disinfecting.

Thanks for pointing out that it is best to meet up with a consultant from the company to help determine the needs of your property. I can imagine how important this would be, especially for restaurants, to ensure that everything is hygienic before people order and eat the food they offer. Hopefully, all restaurants would be investing in a good commercial cleaning service to ensure that they are safe and clean.

I totally agree when you said that reputation is important. As you said, one should check the references to know how the previous customers were satisfied with their services. I can imagine how that would be helpful for business owners to find commercial cleaning services that they can invest in to keep their establishment clean and sanitized, especially during these times wherein there is still a pandemic going on.

One of the best benefits of hiring a commercial cleaning service. You have your own job to do as does your staff. When you also need to fit in the cleaning, it might get overlooked, pushed to the bottom of your to-do list.
